Edward J. Scott was born on September 15, 1953 to Edward &
Evelyn Mildred Scott. He was the youngest child of three
born to this union. Even as a child it was evident that
Edward had an "Anointing" on his life. Folk could
distinguish that God had something waiting for him, because when
he prayed he prayed differently from the children his age.
As a young child when he would take his bath he would play
preaching while his grandmother would stand at the door and
pretend to be the deaconess of the church urging her grandson on.

Edward attended school in
the New Orleans Public School System. He attended Thomas
Lafon Elementary School; Samuel James Green Jr. High School; St.
Augustine High School and Alice Fortier High School.
Louisiana State University and The Union Baptist Literary
Theological Seminary are where he furthered his education.
He has also acquired 10 certificates from 4 different Bible
Colleges: Moody Bible Institute, Correspondence School;
Bible Correspondence School, Oak Park, Illinois; and
Correspondence Bible Course, Atlanta, Georgia. In 1973 he
completed and received a certificate in Business Law from the
Interracial Council for Business Opportunity of New Orleans.
Pastor Scott is married to the lovely Denean Fortenberry Scott.
Apryl Shantell Scott and She'Landa Norwood Scott are his
daughters.
